larry adler - operations director

Larry AdlerLarry joined webqem in early 2001, bringing with him more than 15 years of extensive business experience, most recently with Gateway Computers as Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to Gateway, Larry was employed as a senior member of the OPSM management team responsible for new business development and operations.

Larry has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology and brings to webqem vast financial, marketing and sales experience.

andrew crowe - executive director

Andrew CroweAndrew has been a web developer since 1997, adopting ColdFusion as his "tool of preference" in 1998. Andrew was Webmaster for one of Australia's Top 5 banks before leaving to start webqem. His extensive experience managing dynamic web sites and coordinating large teams of developers means Andrew brings a great deal of assured professionalism to his role at webqem.

stewart johnston - technical director

Stewart JohnstonStewart has been a ColdFusion evangelist since 1996, and a web developer since 1995. He has extensive experience with ColdFusion under both Windows NT and Sun Solaris. Stewart's highly respected industry experience includes clustering, high availability, security lockdown and production stability.

Stewart has vast experience with most database connectivity ranging from MS SQL, Oracle down to text-based data. He has coded CFX extensions on NT and Solaris and has extensive C/C++ experience.

Steve WhistlerSteve has dedicated himself to web design, web user interface development and web advertising since early 1997. In 1998, Steve moved from a web design and useability role for one of Australia's leading banks into online advertising creative & production consultancy.

An obsession with detail, quality of design output and customer satisfaction has seen Steve maintain an enviable range of clients to the present day, providing web interface expertise and design services to some of Australia's top corporate and online media companies.

bruce allen - project manager

Bruce AllenBruce has been in the Information Technology industry for over 20 years, gaining a depth of experience in the finance and banking corporate sectors. He has performed many diverse roles, ranging from Management Training to Technical Architect.

More recently Bruce has specialised in web technologies including research into Smartcard technology, Webmastering for a major bank and Project Managing a national website and eCommerce implementation for a major property developer. Bruce is also interested in the visual aspects of web development and has completed a graphic design diploma.

Kynan BattA graphic designer since 1996, Kynan moved from traditional print media into web design in early 2000 and has been immersed in the interactive space since then. Joining webqem in 2007, Kynan brings his fresh design approach and attention to detail to our web site and rich application offerings.

edgar cahuana - network administrator

Edgar CahuanaWith nearly 2 decades of infrastructure experience Edgar brings experience and stability to webqem's already solid infrastructure. He migrated to Australia from Peru in 2003 and has held a number of infrastructure, security and support related roles in Sydney.

With a degree in Electrical Engineering, numerous supplier certifications and a foundation in banking environments, Edgar is well matched to webqem's conservative, secure hosting offering and facilitation of application delivery.

simon dougall - online advertising creative

Simon DougallSimon has been a Graphic Designer and Art Director since 1991. Moving from print design into multimedia during the mid 1990's, Simon produced on-screen presentations and multimedia pieces for a wide range of corporate clients. Making the move online in 1998, Simon brings with him an extensive background in concept development, design and production. He's a quick thinker and, together with his sharp wit and fine art background, produces cutting edge online advertising creative.

lachlan gray - accounts manager

Lachlan GrayLachlan’s interest lies in project management and web usability, functionality and accessibility. He graduated from the BA Informatics degree at the University of Sydney in 2004 and since then has been involved in client and project management.

Lachlan recently returned from Toronto where he worked in IT recruitment as an account manager.

Cameron MilnesPrior to joining webqem in 2007, Cameron spent 10 years working in the radio industry including 3 years with the Austereo network as Sales Manager at FoxFM in Melbourne, followed by 6 years with the DMG Radio Australia network. At DMG, Cameron was the Sales Manager at Nova100 in Melbourne for over 3 years, the National Research Manager for 18 months and also spent 12 months as General Manager of Star104.5 on the Central Coast of NSW.

Having spent many years travelling the country in both sales and training roles Cameron brings a wealth of knowledge on the difficulties of coordinating national training, marketing and sales strategies. Cameron understands how new technology can help companies achieve cohesiveness across their organization without the need for travel and accommodation expenses.

Cameron is also passionate about new media enabling companies to interact personally with their current and potential clients. Having seen the impact that the web has had on traditional media, he is excited about the opportunity to help companies market through their websites and online marketing campaigns.

andrew muller - senior web developer and trainer

Andrew MullerTrainer, developer, blogger and presenter, Andrew Muller is one of the best known proponents of Rich Internet Application development in Australia. A Flex pioneer, Andrew has been developing with ColdFusion and Flash since 1996. Certified ColdFusion and Flash developer, Andrew is also a member of Team Macromedia.

Andrew has written articles for various publications and spoken at Macromedia related conferences both in the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Andrew is currently the manager of the NSW ColdFusion User Group.

Gavin PerryGavin brings over 8 years of project management and elearning experience to the team. With a passion for technology and innovation he was an early adopter of elearning - an evangelist you could say - and through a major Australian company received an industry award for recognition of eLearning innovation. His ability to identify and evaluate the learning and communication needs of a business ensures goals are met and relationships are built.

Gavin's experience has been gained through a number of roles in Australia, the United States, Singapore and the UK, across a wide variety of industries.

chris raynor - web developer and SEO specialist

Chris RaynorChris had 8 years experience in IT support and development at a leading Australian bank before taking a break to start a family and living in Tokyo and the U.S for 4 years.

Chris returned to Australia in 2002 and moved into web development shortly after. She has a penchant for colourful, clean, usable sites and is a self-confessed Search-Engine-Optimisation tragic.

mike shaw - senior web developer

Mike ShawMichael has been immersed in web development since 1995.  Initially working in a Perl/Linux environment before switching to ColdFusion/NT in 1997 and adding Java in 1998, he has a vast knowledge of Internet technologies.

Developing Internet applications both in Australia and in the UK, Michael has extensive experience of intranet, extranet, ecommerce, content management and general Internet applications. Michael develops on both sides of the wire - complementing his server side knowledge with strong client side skills, particularly in Flash and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

erika stowe - web designer/developer

Erika StoweA Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication), Erika has focussed her considerable energy into the online space since 2004 and gained Adobe certification in Flash and Dreamweaver.

Erika has successfully merged her concept development, design and illustration experience with rich media and CSS design. In addition to her graphical expertise, she's also committed to web standards development.

marcin szczepanski - senior web developer

Marcin SzczepanskiMarcin joined Webqem in early 2007, after 8 years of web development experience in banking and insurance companies building intranet, extranet and internet web sites. With an interest in emerging trends in web development and rich internet applications, Marcin has skills in a variety of development technologies.

Marcin has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of NSW, and is a Sun Certified Java Programmer.
