Adobe Acrobat enables business professionals to reliably create, combine and control Adobe PDF documents for easy, more secure distribution, collaboration and data collection.
The recently announced Adobe Acrobat 8 provides innovative tools for communicating and collaborating with confidence across the boundaries of operating systems, applications and firewalls. Common activities such as combining, signing and protecting PDF files, interacting with PDF forms, reviewing and collaborating on documents, or launching a real-time web conference (when combined with Adobe Acrobat Connect) can now be as simple as a single click. Acrobat 8 Professional is expected to be available in November 2006.
In conjunction with the ubiquitous, free Adobe Reader® software that lets you open, view, search and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files with built-in security features, Adobe PDF documents are available across a wide range of platforms, including Windows® platforms (Windows 2000 SP2, Windows XP, or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition), Mac OS X v.10.2.8 or 10.3, Palm OS® 3.0 (or later) and Pocket PC 2002 or 2003 platforms for handheld devices, Symbian OS™, Linux®, AIX®, HP/UX, and Solaris™.
